so, this is a probably a dumb question, but is this a normal part of the glacial cycle (is that even a real cycle?) or is this a consequence of our prodigiously carbonic lifestyles?
Not a stupid question at all. I mean, the answer is kind of no, but also maybe. By which I mean that the calving is a natural part of a glacier’s cycle, and that this particular calving is indicative of warming over the last couple of hundred years. But I guess we might be accelerating it now. But I’m posting a more in depth explanation right now. (Is it a faux pas to plug myself on my own blog?)
